Steve Nave
President & Chief Executive Officer

Steve joined Bluestem Brands in December 2012. Prior to Bluestem, Steve was a Senior Officer of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. where he was most recently the chief executive of Walmart.com U.S. Prior to running Walmart.com, Steve held several executive leadership roles for Walmart.com including Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. Before joining Walmart.com in 2000 as a member of the launch team, Steve spent five years with Ernst & Young, LLP. Steve graduated from Oklahoma State University with a BS in Accounting.

Vince Jones
Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer & Chief Digital Officer

Vince joined Bluestem in 2013 and is responsible for Information Technology, eCommerce Product Management, Fulfillment Operations, Inventory Management, Sourcing and Customer Engagement. He previously served as Chief Executive Officer of eBags, Inc. Prior to eBags, Vince was VP of Operations & Finance at SugarSync and a founding member at Walmart.com. Vince started his career as a consultant at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) where he specialized in technology and operations consulting. Vince holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BS in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas.

Shawn Moren
Senior Vice President, Human Resources

Before joining the Bluestem team, Shawn led HR for Supervalu’s retail companies and distribution centers. She also held additional leadership positions in Supervalu including, Vice President-Talent Management and Group Vice President-Total Rewards, as well as HR leadership positions in BestBuy.com and SuperAmerica. Twin Cities Business magazine awarded her “Emerging Leader Award” in 2007 and she received a 2013 “Top Women in Grocery” Award from Progressive Grocer magazine. Shawn is a guest speaker for the University of Minnesota doctoral program, and holds a BA from the University of Kentucky and an MBA from Eastern Kentucky University.

Jim Slavik
Executive Vice President & President of Credit Services

Jim joined Bluestem Brands in August 2016. For six years prior to Bluestem, Jim was Chief Executive of Credit and Insurance for Edcon Ltd., southern Africa’s largest non-food retail group, which is owned by Bain Capital in Johannesburg, South Africa. Edcon managed 3.5 million in-store cards, accounting for nearly 50% of group retail sales. For nearly 20 years prior to Edcon, Jim held executive leadership roles for GE Capital in banking and insurance, as well as consumer-finance businesses in general management, operations, and financial roles in the USA, Europe, and Asia. Jim graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a BS in Finance.

Erica Street
Executive Vice President & Chief Legal Officer

Erica directs the company’s Office of General Counsel and also serves as Compliance Officer and Secretary to the Board of Directors. She joined Bluestem Brands in January 2007 as Associate General Counsel, was appointed Vice President in September 2008, General Counsel in September 2010 and Senior Vice President in March 2013. From January 2003 through January 2007, she provided various legal and consulting services through E Street & Associates PLLC. From 1989 to 2003, she held positions within Target Corporation (formerly Target Stores, a division of Dayton Hudson Corporation), including Senior Counsel, Assistant General Counsel and President, Target Brands, Inc. She has a BA from Hillsdale College (Michigan), and a JD from the University of Michigan Law School, Ann Arbor.

Mark Wagener
Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

Mark started with Bluestem in November 2006. Prior to joining us, Mark was Senior Vice President and Controller at Metris Companies, a $12 billion credit card company. He also worked for 13 years at Wells Fargo (formerly Norwest Corporation) in various corporate finance positions, the last of which was Director of Corporate Planning and Analysis. Mark began his career with Arthur Andersen & Co. where he worked for five years as an auditor serving clients in the retail and advertising industries. He has an MBA in Finance from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management and a BA in Accounting from St. John’s University (Minnesota).
