Marketing

Marketing stewards the relationship with the customer through their journey to establish, build and rebuild credit. Our people, processes, and technology work to match the right individuals with the right message at the right time. In creating and delivering campaigns, Marketing remains focused on delivering on our promise to support our customers along their credit-building journey. This is fulfilled by a diverse set of capabilities, including strategy, data analytics and engineering, creative design, customer experience, general management, budgeting, planning, forecasting, advertising, digital, and marketing technology. There are specific roles in each of these areas as well as a rotational program to get exposure to all of this and more! Marketing is an exciting, high-visibility department that interacts with all other functions across the organization—all while remaining focused on helping our customers reach their credit goals.

Most common roles include:
  • Marketing Analysts
  • Media Planners
  • Graphic Designers/Art Directors
  • Copywriters/Editors
  • Product/Project Managers
  • Database Analysts
  • Statistical Analysts and Data Scientists
  • Customer Experience Analysts

It’s not every job where you can earn a living while also doing good.  I’m proud to work on the Fingerhut team that continuously prioritizes the customer and their journey to better their credit.  To know that we have customers who come to us with no credit history who are then able to purchase a home in 12-24 months of activation is inspiring to keep improving our business and the Fingerhut value prop.  In addition, I really value the size of Fingerhut.  A $1B business is still very entrepreneurial in that there is not a lot of hierarchy and there is true business impact and visibility at all levels of the organization, at the same time we have competitive benefits and resources of a larger company.  It’s the best of both worlds.

Analytics and Marketing Operations

Over the last 8 years, I’ve enjoyed tackling several business opportunities, spanning a few different roles, and the great part is, there are always more!

I’m fortunate to be part of a team that has tremendous access to a wide variety of data sources, modern tools for analysis and visualization, and the talent to develop and deliver solutions that really matter.

I love data and the power it has to inform decisions both big and small. Working at Fingerhut affords me the opportunity to lead and work in an environment that isn’t satisfied with average and I find that energizing

Marketing Technology

At Fingerhut, I’ve found all the things here that you’d want in a great experience.  Fingerhut is full of great people who have fun while working hard every day to create better and better customer experience.  Our business has been serving customers for decades and allows each of us to grow strategically into exciting spaces.  We have a leadership team that is change-driven: we’re always looking for ways to better serve our customer: with better technology, better processes, better products and service.

Revenue Generation, Brand and Media

If we ever renamed Fingerhut, I’d lobby for Reno.  Why?  Because Fingerhut is the biggest little company in the world which makes it fantastic!  You get the best of a small company with access and frequent interaction with all leaders regardless of your level in the organization.  You also get the best of a large company with numerous opportunities both cross functionally as well as within marketing with so many different roles and focus areas.  This combination means you’ll have the opportunity to grow and develop yourself unlike anywhere else with opportunities to learn new things and access to leaders and experts from which to learn and model your career
