Our accounting professionals collaborate with the organization’s functions to gather, summarize and present key financial information promptly. Our treasury team has a robust treasury function that manages the reporting and operations to support our capital market and banking partners. Our Legal team contributes to Bluestem’s success by understanding the company’s strategic and operational issues and by partnering with the business to manage risk and optimize performance. We view our roles as business partners and we strive to provide value by proactively presenting effective solutions for risk control, rather than reacting to existing issues by creating obstacles. Our corporate lawyers serve as advisors to the business and provide transactional support, legal and regulatory oversight, litigation management and oversee the intellectual property portfolio. We work closely with business leaders to identify and manage risk and strategically partner with them to enable them to make the best and fully informed decisions to assure compliance and avoidance of risk.

Our Compliance team oversees a robust program designed to comply with regulatory frameworks and best practices through solid internal controls and well-developed policies and procedures. The team has a strong focus on data, analytics and machine learning modeling techniques to provide quantitative, empirical evidence of compliance with law, as well as early identification and remediation of operational failure leading to compliance risk. The primary tenants of the program are focused on consumer financial services but are equally applicable across all business lines, including marketing, advertising, products, sourcing and information security.

Our Procurement team is where quality meets efficiency with indirect sourcing processes for all divisions of Bluestem within Orchard and Fingerhut. We strive to exceed expectations and drive sustainable growth for our company through innovation and a commitment to delivering quality results. Our processes involve competitive sourcing through RFP’s, electronic sourcing tools, purchase order processes, contract management and repositories for contract terms and conditions. Our indirect sourcing includes all areas outside of direct retail sale merchandise. Together, we navigate the complexities of procurement with integrity, diligence and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
